On November 29, 2021, Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on U.S. Design Patent D930702. The design patent is owned by Wepay Global Payment, LLC, an NPE and William Grecia entity. $4,000 for Be-Labs prior art

On November 8, 2021, Unified Patents added two separate PATROLL contests with an opportunity to collect up to $4,000 in cash for prior art on at least claim 1 of two patents, U.S. Patent 7,827,581 and U.S. Patent 9,344,183, owned by inventor-backed NPE, Be-Labs, Inc. Each patent relates to a wireless multimedia center (WMC) for reception from one or more signal sources and for distribution of segments of signals from signal sources through the wireless multimedia center to a plurality of end units, in which the signals include video signals and broadband data. Both patents have been and are currently being asserted in over 70 district court litigations against companies such as Verizon, Samsung, Technicolor, Cox Communications, Cisco, Fujitsu, Netgear, and others.

On November 1, 2021, Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $2,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of U.S. Patent 9,398,209. The patent is owned by Xperi Holding Corporation, an NPE. The '209 patent relates to a method of tracking faces in an image stream. The method includes receiving images from an image stream including faces, calculating corresponding integral images, and applying different subsets of face detection rectangles to the integral images to provide sets of candidate regions.

$3,000 Awarded for Safe Driving prior art

Unified is pleased to announce PATROLL crowdsourcing contest winner, Arpit Jain, who received a cash prize of $3,000 for his prior art submission for U.S. Patent 9,713,994. This patent is owned by Act-IP, an NPE. The '994 patent generally relates to a system of sensors to allow a driver to safely drive their vehicle while being able to use smart applications. This patent is currently being asserted against Ford Motor Company in the Delaware District Court.
