$3,000 for Ueran Technology communications patent prior art

Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $3,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 1 of EP-2661133-B1, owned by Ueran Technology LLC, an NPE. The EP’133 patent details a radio communication system between a mobile station device and a base station. It introduces methods for the mobile device to transmit a random access preamble to the base station, receive a response with timing deviation information, and manage uplink sync status without relying on the timing deviation once sync is established.

Submitted invalidity charts must address every limitation of the challenged claim. This may require using more than one prior art reference. Unified is pleased to announce PATROLL crowdsourcing contest winners, Adrei Gilya and Calvin Zhong, who shared an award of $2,000 for their prior art submissions on U.S. Patent 6,684,220, owned and asserted by DigiMedia Tech, LLC, an NPE and an IP Investments Group entity. The ‘220 patent describes software stored on a computer readable medium that identifies a model comprising multiple objects, each with input and output variables. It has been asserted against GM and Pinterest.
